Die Architekturexkursion nach Ecuador (voraussichtlich September 2026) untersucht das Zusammenspiel von Geografie, Klima, Materialkulturen und urbanen Transformationsprozessen zwischen Andenhochland und Pazifikküste. Im Fokus stehen Stadt- und Landschaftsräume, öffentliche Bauten, Wohnformen sowie informelle und resiliente Strategien des Bauens. Lines of Power: Revisiting Sullivan’s Ornament Through Making

In diesem Wahlfach beschäftigen wir uns mit der Neuinterpretation der komplexen architektonischen Zeichnungen von Louis Sullivan, insbesondere seinen 20 Plates aus der Publikation Ornament According with a Philosophy of Man’s Powers von 1924. Die Studierenden rekonstruieren diese hochkomplexen Morphologien mithilfe digitaler Entwurfswerkzeuge und setzen sie anschließend mittels CAM-Fertigungsmethoden wie Lasercutting oder 3D-Druck in physische Prototypen um.
