The beauty of nature shows diversity, any language of forms arises from it.
The contrast between organic and fractal characteristics is taken up in this project.
In a cut through a tree, the beauty of nature is reflected in closed, non-circular, yet
perfect forms. The fractal as the opposite can be found in rock formations.
If a stone is broken, one gets sharp, pointed and yet very defined surfaces.
The contrast is to be shown by means of an as-built column in the Institute for Experimental Hochbau.
The idea here is to take two opposite sides of the rectangular column and project the two opposites,
fractal and round. The two sides in between should reflect a transition. The
edges of the original column will be used as recognizable
