Vertiefung Prototypenbau: Additive Thrones

REX|LAB 2022

“The aim of this seminar was to design and fabricate an intricate and highly ornamental 3d printable throne prototype which is not just pure decor, but also a usable object. The project aligns itself in an ongoing research of robotic 3d printing using thermoplastics as a material system. “

Hybride Prozesse

ceramic 3D-printing in architecture – WS 2021

Students learn the theory and practice of additive processes in architecture. In small projects we develop the software skills to design for 3D printing as well as to generate the print files. In the next step, individual projects of the students are worked out and their own designs are printed in model scale. Here we focus on the material ceramic. Ceramics, i.e. fired clay, is already the most widely used building material on … more

PROJECT FEA(S)T

[Furthering Experimental Architectures, Strategies and Technologies]

Part of the Institute for Experimental Architecture at University of Innsbruck, operating since 2012, Studio Colletti operates at the crossroads of architectural design, building technologies and contempurary culture. Project FEA(S)T endeavours to further experimental architectures, strategies and technologies, to promote architecture as cultural production: a feat by an individual and/or a team – an achievement that requires great courage, skill, and strength – and a feast … more
